Although this book doesn’t specifically mention adoption or foster care in its pages, ‘All Kinds of Children‘ by Norma Simon is an amazing resource for parents and teachers alike. This book uses bright and extravagant illustrations to portray the many different cultures of the world. This is a great tool for both parents and teachers to use when discussing the issues of diversity, race, and culture with young children. “Each carefully chosen example and comparison will help to forge a connection to friends and neighbors, other cultures, and faraway lands.” (back-cover synopsis)

The themes of this book can be a great conversation starter for discussing cross-cultural, transracial, and international adoption with children.
